New 2017 Ducati SuperSport
A quick review for those that might be interested. I'll admit right up front this machine combines almost everything I've ever wanted in a bike and does so brilliantly, so if I gush please bare with me :) The appearance is EXTREMELY similar to the Panigale. Same swooped nose, similar fairing and similar tail end. The framing however is more Moster-like. The dash is simple (at least compared to some of the recent Japanese info centers) and more importantly much easier to see in direct sunlight th... -

Learn to push start your bike!
Push starting is like crashing a motorcycle, sooner or later you're going to do it. Like it or not, it might be function that may save you from the side of the road. Last week I helped a guy push start his bike, and it dawned on me how simple it is, but yet people don't know the basics. So first, this will likely not work on a bike that is super cold/been sitting. The starter does a few things to motorcycles along with turning the motor. So, now you know. * Turn on the choke if it's cold,... -

First Gear Kiliminjaro Air Mesh Jacket
So, I'm not a huge leather person, and while I was shopping for my jacket, I was offered the FG KJ Air Jacket. Overall, I love it. It has a mesh overcoat and a windproof and waterproof removable liner The jacket is great down to about 30 degrees, and with the removable liner it's capable in warm weather riding as well. It's a 3/4 length jacket, so depending on your bike, it MAY bunch. I am 6'3", so it bunches a little bit, but due to my height I need that extra little bit of length. As I me... -

Corbin Saddle Review...
This review based on my Aero 750 and may or may not work for your bike, so please take that into consideration.
I was in the market for a new saddle for my Aero 750 and looked at the Corbin and Mustang saddles. I decided on the Solo saddle for several reasons.
1. I love being able to customize the saddle. You can use different colors, textures and you can shape the seat to move you forward, backwards, up or down. 2. Price: The Corbin was cheaper than the Mustang... -

Fieldsheer Mach 3 Mesh Jacket
Review after 6 months of usage (Sep-Mar / 80F - 30F) A little background on myself first. I don't like spending money on myself and usually talk myself out of any purchase. When I first approached the motorcycle scene I wanted to ease in as cheap as possible, but yet still have the right gear to have fun. Keeping this in mind I wanted an all season jacket. In Atlanta, GA - that means mesh and a rain liner. It keeps the wind off and I feel comfy at ... -

KBC VR-2 Legend helmet
My birthday and Mother’s Day were right around the corner, so what else would a girl want but a new helmet? The Fulmer I had received with my motorcycle purchase wasn’t meeting my needs anymore (visor hinges cracked), so off to CycleGear to choose the next helmet. The salesman pointed me in a few directions, but as soon as I put the VR-2 on my head, I knew it was the one for me. I was a little hesitant at first because of the tight neck fit. That makes it interesting to don, ... -

FirstGear HT Air Overpants
About a year ago, I purchased a pair of FirstGear HT Air Overpants. They're textile pants with mesh panels for cooling, and they come with a windproof/waterproof liner. Knee armor is foam, but I believe you can purchase CE armor as an upgrade. Hip armor is also available, but has to be purchased separately. The construction is fairly solid. The legs have sturdy zippers that go the entire length of the leg, and can unzip from the top or bottom. All snaps on the front of the pants are covered... -

Icon Recon Jeans
I've had my recon jeans for about a year now, but yesterday was only the second time I wore them. The first time I wore them it was for my 50 mile r/t to work and home, so I couldnt get a real "feel" for them. I have not worn them over the summer because they are really hot. I wore them yesterday for 195 miles and I like them. They are comfortable and great for the cooler temps. We rode into the 60s and shady areas and my legs were perfectly warm. The only complaint I have with them is the... -

Firstgear Powercruiser jacket
I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago and thought I'd go ahead and post a review. I can't give a durability review since it's new but I'll give my overall feelings of the jacket. First off since I ride a cruiser I wanted a cruiser styled jacket and I wanted leather. Many of the jackets on the market are geared looks wise more towards a sport bike and this was one of the few that I felt conveyed the image of the late 50's leather jackets. I paid $329.00 for the jacket and when I looked at al... -

Lee Parks DeerSports Gloves
I've used several pairs of fancy armored gloves, and truth be told, I always wondered if the armor on the knuckles would make enough of a difference in a crash to be worth the tradeoff in bulkiness and comfort. Many times I would end up riding with Aerostich's cheap deerskin garden-glove like mitts, because they were the only gloves I had that breathed adequately for wide-ranging temperature conditions and were comfortable on my hands. The Lee Parks school of glove design throws many old ...
